St. George’s Day School began in 1966 as a ministry of St. George’s Episcopal Church. Initially, the school offered a morning program for children ages 3 to 5, which was primarily attended by children of the church’s parishioners. Over the years, St. George’s has become a full-day school serving a diverse population of students of many faiths.

The parish is represented in the school though membership on the board of directors; provides financial support to the school, including the use of its facilities and grounds; and offers spiritual guidance through the Rector’s frequent presence for weekly chapel services and all special events at the school.

St. George's Episcopal School offers classes for children ranging from 18 months to pre-K (4- to 5-year-olds). All students at St. George's must be at least 18 months of age by September 1 of the current school year. The school is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

St. George’s School is fully accredited by the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools, licensed through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, and accredited through the Diocesan Schools Commission of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas.
