Long ago, before most people could read, before the church spoke the language of the people, there were storytellers. Traveling theater troupes went from one village to another to tell the stories so important to our faith. On Christmas Eve at 5:00 pm, we will continue in that tradition, as we present the Pageant of the Nativity. ALL children, families, friends, neighbors – whether you regularly attend St. George’s or not – are welcome to participate.
Here’s how it works:
- Think about who you want to be in the story – Mary? Joseph? a shepherd? an angel? a Queen? a King?
- Wear your own costume from home, or come to the Wright-Giles House as early as 4:15 pm on Christmas Eve to look for a costume.
- In church, sit with your family and friends in the pews. When it is time, follow the Candle Bearer to Bethlehem to see the Baby in the manger!
