Join St. George’s own theologian-in-residence Greg Garrett as he discusses a new volume of Church Publishing Inc.’s “In Conversation” series, written with former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. In a three-day conversation that took place in Cambridge, England, they talked about friendship, the Church, the gift of great stories, the importance of Shakespeare, the art of writing poetry and fiction, the preaching event, engaging popular culture, the relationship between faith and politics, the practice of prayer, and the necessity of sacred community, modeling for us in the process both the vanishing art of conversation and an active engagement with faith, culture, and real life.
A book launch Celebration and Conversation with Greg Garrett will take place at BookPeople, hosted by KUT’s Jennifer Stayton. Refreshments will be served, and books will be available for purchase and signing. Visit BookPeople’s Events page for more information.
