St. George’s Comfort Bags Ministry: Join Us in March!

For over a decade, the St. George’s family has come together to support survivors of sexual violence through our Safe Comfort Bags ministry. These handmade gifts provide more than just supplies—they offer a tangible reminder that "someone cares about you." We will prepare 250 bags for our upcoming delivery on March 22, and we need your hands and hearts to make it happen!

Ways to Get Involved

1. Join the "Sew-In.” There is a job for you. We need sewers, ironers, and many ribbon stringers.

When: Sunday, March 8, 2026

Time: 11:45 am – 12:45 pm (immediately after church)

Where: Kleberg Hall

Bonus: Lunch will be served!

2. Donate Items to Fill the Bags Our Outreach team is collecting specific items to ensure every bag is complete.

March 8: Sew-In and lunch

March 15: Bag Filling after church in Kleberg. Many hands will make light work.

March 22: Blessing of the Bags. We will have visitors from SAFE to talk about the importance of our work. Everyone in the congregation will be invited to come forward during the blessing and lay hands on the bags.

"When I explained the bags are handmade as a group project, she examined the stitching and could truly feel the love put into them." — A recent survivor's response.
