CHILDREN’S FORMATION AT ST. GEORGE’S
Dear Families,
Here are a few resources to help keep Halloween in its original Christian perspective. Join us Sunday, November 1, at 10:30am, for our All Saints’ Day Holy Eucharist, including the baptisms of some of our St. George’s children.
Yours in Christ,
Mother Kelly
What do you offer children on Sundays?
KidsWord - for children 5 years old through 5th grade (younger if accompanied by a parent).
At the very beginning of the 10:30 a.m. service, children may choose to follow the Tree of Life banner in the Opening Hymn procession, or join us at the front altar rail. Following a short blessing, they leave with two Safeguarded adults and walk, usually to Kleberg Parish Hall, to learn more about God and God’s people through Bible stories and creative work. Parents are invited to join us. They return to the service in time for the Passing of Peace and Holy Communion.
How do I sign up?
No registration is necessary initially. Our family minister will follow up if you would like to continue your child in our formation programs. See below for nursery registration.
Do you have a Church Nursery?
Yes, we do! Our nursery welcomes infants through 4 years old in a beautiful, spacious room tucked away at the back of the St. George’s School campus.
Pick up an FAQ card in the sanctuary first, then follow the signs.
Hours: 10 a.m.-noon
Our goal in the St. George’s Nursery is to envelop our children with the love of Christ, while providing a safe and healthy environment for them to engage with Bible stories and creative work.
All of our children’s formation staff and volunteers are qualified in the diocesan Safeguarding God’s Children program, which includes a background check, online and live training.
Parents, please bring your own labeled supplies (diapers, bottle, and a snack if desired). Snacks are offered. Let us know about allergies and special concerns on the check-in-sheet, and include them in the registration form below. Registration is not required for initial visits.
